For Nokia decision on WP7 over Andriod, it's definitely a correct move since Nokia is known for it's weakness on software but strength on hardware. The pace of Google's Android update require way too many software development that Nokia can handle. There is no chance to Nokia can complete with experienced OEM like HTC (strong background in smartphone firmware) and Motorola (strong background in Linux mobile device). Just look at how Dell and Sony Android version compare to HTC and you will get the big picture.
