performance wise, i think 2.0 and 2.4G are pretty much the same. If one program can't run on 2.0G, it won't run on 2.4G. after all, don't expect any miracle for 400MHz difference.

the new nvidia chip really make big difference. even on the 2.0G, it can run 1080P H.264, AAC5.1 very smoothly. CPU only about 30% the entire time.

on the old plastic Macbook, even 2.4G model won't be able to run the same video smoothly.

i bought 2.4G, but just i already regret it. i should have just got 2.0G and save $250 USD. it's totally not worth the price difference.

I don't know how the Macbook will will compare with our AMD. I have a P4 2.4G Northwood OC to 2.9G, and the 2.4G Macbook is about 2-3 times faster when i converting dvd mpeg file to H.264 AAC

oh, another excellent way to spend money is to get the upcoming 24 inch monitor!

小弟也遲早要衝的吧，不過就不是現在，應該近半年也都不會發生。

我要等新的15''螢幕解析度（也就意味著包含新的OSX），這樣才算獲得最大獲利

否則現在MBP和MB差距實在太小

還很夠用!而且目前與新的MBP硬體差距跟我現在這台沒多大...

it is just my guess:

the difference between Macbook and Macbook Pro are very small. HOWEVER, Intel just recently roll out new 4 core CPU for notebook.. perhaps we will see 4 core in Macbook Pro early next year.
