The problem with flash mp3 player is the need to select songs. Picking 20-50 songs from my Jacky Cheung's complete 918 songs collection takes a lot of time.
Autofill can fill the ipod shuffle with a special list of songs like:
all songs you rate 3 stars or higher
all chinese songs
all english songs
all songs you listened to more than 3 times
all songs by S.H.E. etc.
you can choose the list of songs to pick from
you can also Autofill ipod shuffle with higher rating songs more than lower rating songs.
People find that this replaces there 40gig ipod. There are so many songs, most people play it on random 95% of the time, and the ability for iTunes to automatically randomly select from every single song in my collection makes it just as good as the 40 gig ipod.
It's also a lot faster to press one button to fill the ipod shuffle. For example, when you wake up in the morning, run to the washroom, run to eat breakfast, you have no time to select songs. With the Autofill, you can just press it when you wake up. As you are brushing teeth, it will fill it with new songs. When you are done, you can take it and leave. That is not possible with old mp3 players.
You don't understand, when you have a collection of 20 gig+ songs, all sorted by iTunes, you will start listening to them in random: either random of one singer, or random from collection. So, download iTunes and try.

沒錯, 就是見仁見智看人喜愛, 很簡單..... iPod Shuffle 之所以叫 iPod Shuffle, 是為它的本意就是Shuffle.
它的制造只是為了Shuffle.. 就是這樣簡單.
你用的Mp3 能RANDOM 沒錯, 但是你不是Shuffle.
你的"Random" 只是能在你的Mp3 內的512 mb/1gb/2gb甚至更多內"RANDOM", 而那512 mb/1gb/2gb甚至更多, 是你自已選定的, 不代表你電腦內所有的音樂, 包括你十年也沒聽一次的那一首.
而iPod Shuffle, 就是用iTunes 把你 所有的音樂, 來一個"Shuffle" 不論你有沒有聽過, 或者你要它Shuffle 你指定的地方, 不經你手地把音樂放入你的 iPod Shuffle, 再由你的 iPod Shuffle 來一個 iPod Shuffle 自身的"Shuffle"
