Per questo nuovo modello la Casa torinese ha scelto come pneumatici di primo equipaggiamento Goodyear Eagle NCT5, un radiale che fin dalla sua introduzione ha dimostrato ampiamente di saper offrire eccezionali prestazioni in termini di comfort, consumo di carburante, maneggevolezza e precisione di guida.
Tutte le Lancia Musa con pneumatici da 205/50 R16 e la metà di quelle che montano la misura 195/60 R15 sono equipaggiate con Eagle NCT5, un pneumatico nato dalla più avanzata ricerca Goodyear, dotato fra l'altro di una mescola a base di silice che permette di ridurne la resistenza al rotolamento e quindi la quantità di energia necessaria per l'avanzamento della vettura.
Grazie all'NCT5 la nuova Lancia Musa potrà contare su una riduzione del consumo di carburante che può arrivare fino al 5% rispetto ad un pneumatico concorrente e su una significativa riduzione delle emissioni di CO2.
Lanciato sul mercato agli inizi del 2000, Goodyear Eagle NCT5 è stato da subito particolarmente apprezzato dalle Case costruttrici di autoveicoli che l'hanno adottato in primo equipaggiamento su moltissimi modelli (più di 70 omologazioni in tutta Europa) Non solo in primo equipaggiamento, ma anche a ricambio Goodyear Eagle NCT5 è un prodotto di grande successo: solo nell'ultimo anno in Europa ne sono stati venduti più di 6.000.000 di pezzi.

Goodyear Malaysia provides new tyres to charity organisations

Goodyear Malaysia Berhad, in being committed to support and contribute back to the communities in which it operates, has sponsored tyres to several charity organisations in the Klang Valley.
The company recently contributed 46 pieces of tyres to three charity organisations, namely the St. John’s Ambulance, Suara Kebajikan Mental Malaysia, and the Independent Living and Training Centre, as part of its continuous effort to provide assistance to the community at large.
The tyre type was specially selected to suit the requirements of the vehicles that are used by the organisations. St John’s Ambulance, for example, received 30 new Wrangler D-Sport tyres for its ambulances and the tyres are well known for their durability which is important for an ambulance along with traction and handling. Suara Kebajikan Mental Malaysia, a provider of medical care and support to mental patients, received four Eagle NCT5 tyres.
The Independent Living and Training Centre, an organisation established by the physically challenged for those with physical disability or impairment, received 16 tyres from Goodyear Malaysia. Four were the Ducaro GA featuring Goodyear’s unique and expanded Bubble-Blade II System were given to the organisation; the other tyres provide were the Eagle NCT5 for their vehicles to provide more comfortable rides for its passengers.
“It is the company’s commitment to be a socially aware and responsive global citizen, and to be a company that grows with the community and nation. Contributing to the charity organisations is just a small gesture on our part to make life better for the less fortunate,” said Tuan Haji Zakariah Ahmad, Managing Director of Goodyear Malaysia. “We will continue to significantly broaden our corporate social responsibility efforts to reach more people and to truly help improve the life of the people.”
Last year, Goodyear Malaysia also provided tyres of various models to equip 175 vehicles from nine charity organisations including the Spastic Children’s Association, Malaysian Association for the Blind, National Kidney Foundation, and National Association for the Prevention of Drug Abuse (Pemadam). In addition, the company has also channelled financial aid to survivors of natural disasters and other charitable causes.
