Dear Guys:

As my understanding, Touch Diamond, Touch Pro, Touch Pro 2, all are able to use 3G of AT&T. I have pro and diamond both are working fine with AT&T well, only depend your WAP setting! call customer service than you can find it out, thanks.

It's not WAP setting but hardware limitation. The initial Asia/Europe version of Diamond and Touch Pro cannot fully utilize AT&T 3G UMTS bands (850mzh/1900mzh). Only the later USA version of Diamond & Touch Pro (AT&T Fuze) support UMTS 850mzh.

*** Touch Pro 2 is not support too ***

That is correct.
EU version Diamond and Touch Pro can not work under AT&T 3G because the UTMS band issue.
However, if you cook the ROM & radio. You can get both EU & USA band on your phone then your phone will work both in TW & AT&T USA
T-Mo US is running 1700/2100 band... no phone but Google G1 will support it.

I have a Diamond, after I cooked it. It works under both band. same as my friend's AT&T Fuze, we cooked it and fresh with Touch Pro ROM and Radio. It can work on both band as well...

Must admit my ignorance on this subject.

I guess I must got some concept mixed up. I thought HD's can't support AT&T 3G is because some chipset or other *hard* hardware limit. If AT&T support could be achieved through cooking the radio, why this is not easily searchable nor widely spread.

Is your diamond a later USA version Jack mentioned?

A search on Diamond in XDA still stated it's not working

Yes, you can cook TP or Diamond with ned radio pack
and you will get the UMTS 850/1900 or UMTS 900/2100 or UMTS 2100 or UTMS 1700 in your radio selection.

When I got my Diamond. There is no GSM 850 & UMTS 850.
I cooked with TW ROM from 01 & Radio from XDA.

Now I got everything on it.

Any link to that rom image and did you ever see an "H" (HSDPA) icon w/ your connection? You see the selection in the phone menu DOES NOT mean the hardware is able to use the band (All those selection can be enable w/ simple registry editing).

As far as I know, the latest radio ONLY enable GSM 850, not UMTS 850 and I think you got confused.
