Garmin GPS 18 USB Package

我的構想是利用現有的laptop和車用的電源供應器來GPS導航,看了美國這邊的購物網站,發現了大概三款GPS Receiver和軟體同捆的package
微軟和Navman e series的評價好像不太好,後來就選了這個評價較好的Garmin,盒子裡包含了USB GPS Receiver,可吸在擋風玻璃的車架,City Select北美 v6版(含加拿大,美國,波多黎各)地圖軟體,nRoute導航軟體,今天上頂樓試了一下(實在是太冷了),很多功能還不知道,可以請有買這個的同好分享一下心得嗎?(不好意思,因為自己沒車,所以沒得試,想買這個是因為月中要回台灣兩個月,打算搭配papago,還有就是以後在美國租車去玩時可以用)謝謝,如果不好用打算去退掉了

很不幸的,剛接到GARMIN回覆的EMAIL了,大意是說USB版的沒支援NMEA輸出,除非買serial PORT版本的,原文如下

other brand navigation software products. If you would like to purchase the
GPS 18 PC (serial version) it will be compatible with other third party NMEA
