HP has announced an update of its premium 14.5-inch laptop, the Envy 14 Beats Edition. Maintaining its sleek black design, the Envy 14 comes packed with more processing power and a longer battery life.
The new HP machine now includes the second-generation Sandy Bridge processor, an upgraded graphics card and an updated trackpad featuring integrated buttons. It will also feature HP's CoolSense 2.0 technology, allowing better control of the laptop's cooling fan.
The base model for the new Envy 14 will be equipped with an Intel Core i5 2410M processor running at 2.3GHz, Radeon HD 6630 discrete graphics and a choice of a 320GB hard drive or 160GB solid-state drive. The laptop can accommodate up to 16GB of RAM. Also, if speed is important, there's an i7 2820QM-equipped model at the top of the range.
Other additions on the new HP Envy 14 include a USB 3.0 port and an improved multitouch-enabled trackpad.
The new HP Envy 14 Beats Edition will arrive in Asia on June 10 with a starting price of S$1,799.
