if you just go to the website and build your computer, you CAN"T use the coupon.
you need to registrator an account first. (Lenovo account, don't buy anything yet)
then close the browser, log in to your account, build your computer and apply the 20% at checkout. it will deduct additional 20% from already discounted price. (which make it a total saving of nearly 45%. i think it is crazy. haha, good for customers)
another tip your ur order:
i see you choose WindowsXP professional. If you are a business user and your company only support XP, that's fine. otherwise, i will suggest you to use Vista. If you need to use XP, you can just call Microsoft and they will give you an XP for free with your Vista key. If you buy XP, and want to upgrade to Vista in the future, you will need to pay the upgrade fee. (If your school can buy Vista for cheap, (like less than $10), u can just do what ever you like)
I think 2.2G CPU is just as fast as 2.0G CPU. certainly not worth $200 in my opinion, you can use the money to upgrade ram to 4G, which will run smother and faster. (If you are doing 4G, don't buy ram from Leveno, Kingston is a good place to buy)
another benifit to upgrade ram from 3rd party is energy consumption.
currently, a DDR2 SODIMM (533 or 667) ram consume about 2.5W. if you run 2 ram, which will consume about 5W.
but the newer 2G ram consume about only 1.8-1.9W each. so if you run your machine single channel with single 2G ram instead of dual channel 2x1G ram, you will save about 3W. (on Core CPU, dual channel is not any faster than single channel)
What 3W can give you? depends on your useage, 3W will give you around 30 more minutes of battery life.
