Questions about the IBM software installer

I am using IBM T43. I bought that laptop five months ago and I am wondering whether or not I should upgrade the softwares. So, should I upgrade the softwares by the software installer. AND, actucally what softwares do I really have to upgrade lei??? Thank you! ^^

The ThinkPad (ThinkVantage) Software Installer simply lets you know what software (mostly driver) updates available for your machine. If your computer is running fine at this moment you probably don't need the updates immediately.

My suggestion is that if you have time you can go to Lenovo's Support and Downloads page, choose detect my system, then you will see a list of latest drivers available for your machine. You can then see the "readme" of individual driver to determine if you really need the update.
