file format: should be exif-JPEG or Tiff(if more professional)
resize: as you need
rename: as you need

years ago I used 7 or 8, now I always use 10.

Thanks again for your kindly help to varify some of my doubts with regard to use DDP.

I have just updated all the Canon programs to the most updated version. I find nothing new in there, hahaha.

With all due respect to the "picture quality" with scale 1 to 10, I find it interesting too and have tested it myself.

I find when set picture qulaity to 10 then the output file is fat and big. Then I set the scale to 1 and the file is very small. I was worried about the quality of the pictures so I kindda ISO peep it a little bit. Guess what? Well, I don't see any degrading in photo quality (that amazed me a lot to be honest with you). Maybe my eyes are not as good as others but really even if I zoom the pic to 200% I still could not see any signs of degrading in pic quality.... strange eh...

From what I tested, I found if I do not resize the pictures and set the picture quality at 10 then the final output pic file would double in file size which is crazy.

So what I did is this: for output in regular 4X6 inch photos pictures

1. No resize and keep the original pixel size
2. Set the picture quality at 3 or 4 so that the file size does not change too much

Is this what you found also?

重點就在於.............大量自訂義完白平衡以後
那是DPP只將參數存在DPP軟體內
並沒有實際將照片改變設定值
也就是說
DPP的編輯(無存檔的狀況下)
是給照片加一層你想要的效果的外套
如果沒有將檔案轉存成另外一些檔案的話
其他軟體開啟那些照片還是照片原本的樣子
其他軟體看不見那一層DPP給那張照片加的外套
所以其他軟體就赤裸裸的將圖檔給扒開來看原始設定值了~~QQ

I still once again have to say thanks to you. IF it is not you who start to share with and instruct me how to mass adjust WB in DPP, I am still kicking my own rear end now.

With all due respect to DPP functions in its own unique way, I guess I am not smart enough to figure out why and how to use DPP. Thanks to you and other users in this forum who are willing share and pass on knowledge and experience. You really make this forum worthwhile to browse.

I was testing DPP the whole night tonight and hopefully I could be more at home with this program.
