Hi Mobile01 members

Wide is never wide enough, owning Nikon AF-S 17-35mm f2.8 is always not enough.

Well, so I get myself a second hand Nikon AF-D 14mm f2.8. Price...Still reasonable and I can say still good in condition and latest version.

I can type chinese but its simplified chinese, so take this oppotunity for mobile01 members to learn some simple english.

Below are the photos of the lens, fair enough its really in good condition and if you intend to upgrade your camera next time to D3 (FF), do get yourself this lens or at least a 17-35mm. To be more precise, dont get DX lens. You should know why.

looks not very wide??
what camera body are you using?
Digtal SLR - 1.5X factor

Perhaps I did not make use of the whole ability of the lens.

My skills sucks
That's the general cemetery near the NTU, right ?

And the "Nottingham Eye".... Old market square ~ What a surprise !

No, the photos are great~~
Just they don't look like super-wide 14mm but 20mm.
Looks like a beautiful lens.
But how is its performance? Especially at the borders?
Right ! Its beside the NTU. I think it is a disrespect if I were to walk on the grass therefore most of the pictures are taken standing on the flat ground. I had some ideals of some shots but I am not tall enough or I am not brave enough to stand on those "stones"

Its the Smaller version of London Eye! Unfortunately I did not have my tripod with me for some night shots! Nevertheless, will try if there is chance.

On a DSLR is about 21mm, not that wide at all. Well, give me a few years down the road, when D3 is finally on my hand, I think its gonna to be a Real Wide lens!

As for the corners, give me some time to test.
The fastest and the most economical way to enjoy
the super-wide angle of this lense is to buy a film
camera. (for example, FM2/FE2/F3, less-expensive
and easy to get) And believe me, it is worth.

Saying the optical performance of the corners,
unfortunately, APS-size CCD/CMOS DSLR actually
"crop" the small center part of the image. In the
other word, you will never know the "real strength"
of this lense at this moment.

If my pocket is deep enough, I will get a film camera to play with the "wide".

I believe even F55 or F60 or F80 could show the wide and produce fantastic image.

I once tried F80 with AF-S 17-35mm f/2.8 !! OMG, the image is sharp and 17mm is really 17mm.

So of course 14mm will be 14mm.

Since suffering from shallow pockets and dreams of D3 nightly... I could only continue to use my 4M DSLR and thinking that is FF
