You might find some idea in the instruction manual for Nikon Capture NX2.

slightly wider range.

--> No, fundamentally it should reproduce real color on the LCD panel.
However, of course, it depends on the subject.
If there is wide yellow or green area in the a frame you feel yellow strongly.
the D800/800E monitor has been developed to reproduce more faithful colors
defined by the sRGB standard color space.
Unfortunately, we can not provide you exact range of
D3s/D700 also aimed to reproduce faithful color but it is not exactly the same
as D800/800E.
Regarding the condition that might cause more yellowish color on the LCD panel,
our engineers think that this characteristic affects every images regardless of
the shooting condition. However, this particular phenomenon is easy to be noticed
when the subject has wide area of yellow or green color.

國外媒體在比較D800與5DIII的同時也提到的LCD似乎偏“綠”的問題
後來在電腦中檢視時才發現這些“綠”其實並非LCD所造成
主要還是因為環境光在AUTO白平衡判斷造成偏綠所致
如果確實如此，就比較容易解決多了
希望下次Nikon韌體更新時能把這項修正加進去
