Hey BimmerX5,

I just saw the same package (D90+18-55+55-200) from Costco this morning. It is $1399+tax with $100 discount (mfg discount). I bought the exact same package about 10 days ago and it was $1399+tax without any mfg discount. I am going to get the price adjusted and get the $100 back :)

The discount is good till Jan-4-2009. I am not sure if they would have a different package deal (such as D90+18-105mm) in warehouse after the xmas / New Year.

Additionally, what kind of the package (lenses wise) did you see from your local costco warehouse? $1600+tax seems like to me it shall be the 18-105mm + 70-300mm.

how much did your friend save on the tax vs how much he had to spend for making a trip from Seattle to Oregon? (gas $ + mileages + his time need to be greater than the tax thou). hehe

p.s. I live in So. Cal; south of Irvine.
p.p.s. I think I am going to use the extra saving ($100) on a crumpler 6MDH or a battery grip :)

I gotta say, you've got yourself a pretty nice deal on it. I been looking to buy D90 for couple of months now and still hesitating since Boxing Day will arrive soon (damn... did I expose myself as Canadian...).

Anyway, hope to join the family soon!

The camera is covered by Nikon US for 1 year. Both lenses have the 5yrs warranty.

Costco has the 90 days return policy and that is it. It does not double the warranty to 2 yrs on camera thou. However, they do that to computers and TVs.
