I was wondering too, I've read some people argued about the C&D article too
while C&D tested GTR,they barely pulls a 0-60 time about 4.1?sec. far away from what Insideline did witch is about 3.3 and 1/4mile ET was 11.5@ 12X?mph (just a little above 120mph)
witch shows the car can do some crazy fast jump start by using launch contral and might gonna slow down a bit after hits 100mph,cuz both z06 and srt10 runs about same time but posting higher speed (128mph for srt10 I beleave)

I'm guessing (and just a guess) "maybe" the earlier tested GTR we've seen can slightly overboost itself while using R mode!?!?(and GTRs for now got detune?)
OR... C&D guys just don't know how to use launch contral properly....

and yes,12 flat @ 110mph or some seems more like a 3900pounds car with 480bhp
for comparing, my personal favor, the 3900pounds 500bhp GT500 post about the same time mostly.

I think it's just the summer heat that slows the car down, I know how much it can slow the car down on track between summer and winter, my car was 5mph short just in a short straight line

i thought GTR is less 4000 lbs btw?

not only pp have dyno GTR, but here SAE won't lie about hp #

The curb weight of the GTR is 3920, so if you add a driver, it will be over 4000 easy.

As for HP, Motor Trend have done a dyno test on the GTR. Assuming a conservative 15% loss of power (as claimed by Nissan), the GTR should have at least 507HP, but the shop that tested it says an all wheel-twin clutch car will probably lose around 20 to 25% of power due to heat and friction, therefore, he thinks the GTR makes about 540HP (20%) to 570 (25%).

若是要單講跑直線很快的車,您指的那台當然有份啦.
謝謝提點^^,我只是延伸賽道上最快的車,同樣也是馬路上最快的車。
而veyron畢竟不是只為直線加速而生產的車,只是它到現在全世界還賣沒到十台吧。
據推估若能進台灣,售價約是1億5千萬左右。
拿它來拚GT 或 DTM這類的賽事,無論車主或生產廠都會害怕
(畢竟輸不起啊)

天馬行空的亂比喻,請勿見怪…只是欣賞各位的文章。

那些 GT 跟 DTM 的車 只是跟量產車有相同的外型 其他都不太一樣 而且開發成本也比 這台車貴多了 根本沒有人在害怕去用這台車 大大您真的是想太多了

I donno, you rather trust SAE # or Motor Trend #? SAE # came out a few years ago so here USDM can get standard #, no more magical #

btw, i did just read the most recent C&D you were talking about, and it doesn't make much sense, I'm sure the 5s difference at the same track is casued by both equipment and driver
