本次召回起因為部分車輛因供應商瑕疵，造成部分引擎排氣凸輪軸不良，有可能於行駛中導致排氣凸輪軸斷裂，嚴重時將造成引擎熄火，恐有安全疑慮，因此進行召修。
N47在高速公路斷鏈也是會造成引擎熄火,沒有安全疑慮嗎?

The N47 engine family is prone to excessive timing chain wear and premature failure.[3] Rattling noise from the rear of the engine is indicative of the condition. Timing chain failure may call for engine replacement or a costly repair. The most seriously affected units which require the most extensive repairs were produced from 01.03.2007 to 05.01.2009."
