PRETORIA – By the end of this year BMW South Africa will increase production at its Rosslyn plant, where it manufactures the new generation 3 Series, by almost 100%.
At the official reopening of the plant on Tuesday BMW management board member responsible for manufacturing, Frank-Peter Arndt, made the announcement that a third shift will be introduced that will boost production from 50 000 to 90 000 units per year and will create 600 additional jobs.
