we're not Laughing at his english, personally i felt regretful for him to stay for that long but still type/writes worse than a highschool kid

u didn't get it did u ?? if he type in chinese at 1st, or he type BOTH chinese and english no one will say anything. the BIG problem is he type in english and than translate it using GOOGLE
we expect ppl with excellent english bt not much chinese skills doing that, not with a guy who went to canada for 7 years and grow up in Taiwan.
