WD紫標適不適合存放一般資料的原廠答覆

最近要備份一些資料，本想買WD藍標3T，但缺貨，改買紫標(價差200多)

但孤狗有一種論調是WD紫標是存影音檔專用，不適合存放一般資料，甚至有某連鎖店家強烈不建議買紫標做一般資料儲存~

於是直接問WD原廠，答覆如下---

WD Purple is same as other internal hard disks which means that you can store general data safely.

All those advantages will not bring any possibility to make general data crack/loss.

Technically speaking if you are not using WD Purple in a surveillance environment, you may feel like using a WD Blue as its RPM Class is 5400RPM around.

重點是最後一句話。

簡單講就是，紫標也完全適合做儲存一般資料用，只是這樣會不能體現紫標的AllFrame技術，用起來像5400轉的藍標(但比較耐用與低溫)。

看來是可以安心放一般資料了。
