ATI釋出Catalyst 7.9版本驅動程式

ATI在9月10日發布新版Catalyst 7.9驅動程式，但在上個月我便已經抓到此版，只不過當時還沒有通過WHQL的認證。

從下方對於此版驅動程式說明中，不難看出是針對「遊戲」來進行效能的提升。由於手邊沒有顯示卡可以來實驗，所以無法確認其效能增進幅度的數值。

重要更新說明：

1.Far Cry performance improves as much as 14 % on the ATI Radeon HD 2900 XT in Crossfire mode, ATI Radeon HD 2600 XT single card, and ATI Radeon HD 2400 XT in Crossfire mode.

2.Call of Duty 2 performance with Anti-Aliasing enabled improves as much as 12% on the ATI Radeon HD 2600 XT in single card and Crossfire configurations

3. Half-Life 2: Episode 1 performance improves as much as 9% on the ATI Radeon HD 2600 XT in Crossfire mode and as much as 6% on the ATI Radeon HD 2400 XT in Crossfire mode

4.Serious Sam 2 performance improves as much as 46% on the ATI Radeon HD 2400 XT in Crossfire mode and up to 27% with Anti-Aliasing enabled on the ATI Radeon HD 2600 XT in single card and Crossfire configurations

5. Quake 4 performance with Anti-Aliasing enabled improves 9% or more on the ATI Radeon X1600, ATI Radeon X1650 Pro, ATI Radeon X1300, and ATI Radeon X1550 series of products in both single and Crossfire configurations

WHQL的全名是Windows Hardware Quality Labs，主要是負責Designed for Windows認證的機構，設置的目的是確保各家廠商的硬體與Microsoft Windows系統的相容性。
