My GSF can definitely go even faster... Even with the new radar detector I would rather stay around 145 km/h on highway, as there could be a police helicopter in the sky!!! 笑到噴淚

In addition, in USA, if you drive your car spiritedly like me, you better have a well-covered insurance which should fully cover HUMANS!!! (In USA, human lifes are much more expensive than cars even though the car is Rolls Royces!!! 笑到噴淚

I think people should think about why cars get heavier and heavier... 點點點

LC500 is the most rigid car Lexus have ever built. It could also be the most heavy car if you also consider THE SIZE!!!

RCF: 3902lbs, 185.4Lx72.6Wx54.7H
LC500: 4340lbs, 187.4Lx75.6Wx53H

LC500 is just a little larger than RCF but weights much heavier than RCF!!!

In addition, if you compare non-premium cars and premium cars (no matter Japanese cars or European cars), premium cars are generally a bit heavier than non-premium cars. Premium cars have more features, so it's normal they're heavier but the differences should not be THAT MUCH!!!

More body rigidity also means SAFER!!! (Again, I think premium cars should be designed very differently than non-premium cars, besides the ride frequency)

In addition, I think in general coupes are more rigid than sedans.

However, sedans are usually bigger than coupes and bigger cars are usually safer than smaller cars. So, all in all both sedans and coupes could be about the same safe... 笑到噴淚

(maybe coupes could still be safer)

Higher rigidity cars enhance handling and safety but also increase weight which reduces acceleration(bigger engines), MPG(more gas), maximum grip(bigger tires), etc. So, people have to pay MORE to get similar performance level...

Of course, car makers can adopt more carbon fibers but carbon fibers are very expensive. So, people have to pay EVEN MORE... 笑到噴淚

(Many people already think Lexus is too expensive. I don't think people will be willing to pay supercar like money for Lexus!!!)

Even smaller RCF is a little heavier than DB11. (RCF could be more rigid than DB11)

DB11(4.0t V8): 3895lbs, 187Lx76.8Wx50.8H
RCF: 3902lbs, 185.4Lx72.6Wx54.7H
LC500: 4340lbs, 187.4Lx75.6Wx53H

LC500 is so rigid... Even though LC's ride frequency is lower than DB11 and GT-R, it still ranked higher than DB11 and GT-R!!!

PS: 17 or later GT-R's base model becomes a bit softer. I believe RCF could out handle GT-R if RCF is equipped with some sticky tires like GT-R... (RCF is only slower on POWER)

This fancy AMG coupe is about the same size as RCF but weights about 200lbs lighter. That's why it costs 160K-200K USD... (This is almost supercar price)

AMG GTR 3680lbs, 179.2Lx79Wx50.6H

So, I hope Lexus could be heavier continuously... (i.e. be CHEAPER continuously!!! 笑到噴淚

I just need some more sticky tires to compensate those additional weight... rock

(I never do 10/10th on these cars, so it's totally OK for me to be slightly slower on tracks!!!)

PS: That's why GT-R was so heavy and CHEAP in 2009!!! 笑到噴淚

(Nissan also worked with Dunlop to produce special tires for GT-R which compensate those additional weight)

LFA is the second rigid car Lexus has ever built... (LC500 is more rigid than LFA)

However, LFA is even more expensive than many supercars!!! 嚇到吃手手

This smaller Italian coupe is not light, either. So, its OEM tires are very sticky track tires!!! (That's why it's a bit faster on tracks!!!)

(I think Alfa and RCF should be about the same rigid and both are more rigid than M4... M4 could be only as rigid as GSF!!!)

GSF: 4034lbs, 193.5Lx72.6Wx56.7H
(The new TLX is significantly heavier than the old one)

TLX Type S is AWD(+150lbs) and GSF has a V8(+100lbs)
In addition, the new TLX is slightly larger. So, all in all, the new TLX could be about as rigid as GSF but definitely not as rigid as RCF!!!

The weight reduction job is definitely NOT cheap!!! 嚇到吃手手

RCF base: 3902lbs >>> MSRP: 66,220USD (75K-80KUSD is more realistic)
RCF Fuji: 3781lbs >>>> MSRP: 101,095USD

By the way, in USA, RCF Fuji edition is about as expensive as GT-R Pure edition but in Japan, RCF base is about as expensive as GT-R Pure edition....

PS: Even though RCF is not cheap in USA now, I think it's still a pretty good deal specially for BASE model. However, I would choose cheaper IS500, as I never did 10/10th on these cars!!! (IS500 is already good enough for me!!! I just need to upgrade to Ohlins and some bigger tires... 笑到噴淚
