Blu-ray 也有一般規格的片, 而且還不少, 流量 20 ~ 30 MBps 的比比皆是.
論 4k 4 倍於 2k 的流量, 是有可能壓在 100Mbps 左右.
現行的撥放器芯片只要提升一級的工藝, 就能負荷. 但 High level 的,
估計要 2 級才行. 這還是指 H.264 編碼的, HEVC 編碼的要求更高,
雖然流量減一半, 但還是比不上重度消耗硬體資源的需求.
所以, 我持悲觀的態度看待 HEVC. 會有那樣多的廠商願意下訂高階工藝的
Chip 嗎? 看 FHD 影片推廣那樣久才做起來, 4k 恐怕沒有樂觀的本錢.
也是要推出 Ultra Blu-ray 後, 好幾年才被廠商, 還有消費者接受.
硬體廠商就是計較成本, 還有觀望市場! 消費者則觀望價錢.
能撥放 HEVC 的機器, 我認為價錢輕鬆能超過如 PS4, XBOX 這類娛樂機,
因為硬體不會輸給它們, 除非要賠錢賣. 幾年後, 高階工藝變成中階工藝後,
機器才有可能降價.
不想那樣多了! 反正有多看幾年 FHD 的打算, 短期內, 大量的 HEVC 只會出現
在電腦撥放.

The X930C is a TRILUMINOS display, though what this means is unclear. Two years ago this meant quantum dots. Last year they dropped the dots.
