(總覺得我這個比較像LG的AS-IPS)
*LG目前還是一貫的稱他們面板為S-IPS，也就是說不管技術多創新改變都是使用S-IPS稱謂。
*LG的AS-IPS(Advanced S-IPS)主要是強化對比度和提升色域
*它中間六條為粗體(不知是否為兩條過於接近產生一條粗體)，兩旁邊兩條(最左邊與最右邊看起來稍微細一些也短一些)，涵蓋率大增。研判，保守估計一個subpixel有28區。

*經濟版的S-IPS就是 e-IPS。 e-IPS 是 S-IPS的簡化板，優點是較便宜，缺點是視角不好，在廣角度觀賞時對比度會降低，黑色會變灰。
註: "E"-IPS(Enhanced S-IPS) 不是 "e"-IPS，很多人被搞混。

Hope this helps all of you with the newer firmware access the factory service menu. With some hints here and on other boards, I came up with an idea and it worked!
I have a cheapo universal remote, RCA. Specifically this one I bought at Walmart recently:

I had been using it as a second remote for my 32LH30 that I bought on black friday weekend at best buy. I have 4.31.1 firmware, build date Oct 09.
Anyways, the code for this remote to make everything work properly is 11423. I had the idea to try all the different codes for LG TVs, and bingo, on the third code 11265, the GUIDE button accesses the service menu. I have confirmed I have an LGD panel, and I made the changes to enable JPG and AVI files. I have not tried to use these features yet.
My suggesting to all with new firmware is if you want access to the service menu, grab any universal remote you have laying around and try all the LG TV codes, and then try using buttons like GUIDE or INFO. If not, you can always go to walmart and see if they still have the remote (don't see the exact model online currently, but I only bought it a month ago at local store.)
