鏡子選購時最好有置物平台，才可以放置我們常用的牙刷杯子，甚至肥皂等東西，另外我們看外國影集時，偶爾會在影片中看到有些東西也會放置在"鏡箱"當中，以方便我們放常用的東西順便隔絕浴室中的水氣，像是牙線或是隱形眼鏡等等。購買鏡箱時，材質通常是塑膠或者是發泡板，再搭配喜歡的開門方式(橫拉或外開)和外型，與整體浴室搭配時，有畫龍點睛的效果。
現在也有些乾濕分離的浴室會把面盆製作在浴室外面，我覺得鏡子選擇就格外重要，女生用這空間化妝時，鏡子也可以搭配背光的燈源，讓化妝或是照鏡子時不錯的視覺效果。
