PM G5頂級機種才有的水冷裝置當然不是唬人用的
不過 有全鋁合金的機箱和機身上的散熱孔(?)我想IBM的PPC970FX再怎麼熱也很難操到連機身都發燙 所以真的要測溫度的話 還是得用軟體去抓CPU溫度資料才準 (根據國外的G5 review說法 PM G5 Dual 2.5GHz溫度大概在70-80C上下)
說真的 14歲就在玩MAC頂級機種 不知道能說是您父親有遠見 還是過度寵愛... (並非酸葡萄心態 敝人也擁有同等級PC 雙AMD Athlon 64 FX53 2.4GHz和2GB RAM)
會說有遠見 是因為PM G5功能強大 就算過了3 4年也不會顯得遜色 再加上PM G5頂級機種有三條PCI-Express Slot (如果你的顯示卡是Geforce 6800就只剩兩條...) 要升級裝些新的配備也很容易
會說過度寵愛 是因為只跑Flash的話用PM G5頂級機種似乎有點太浪費 因為Flash是向量繪圖軟體 並不像Photoshop會隨隨便便就弄出一個檔案大小嚇死人的圖檔(1~2百mb+) 所以對於CPU和RAM的需求相對來說就小很多
另外 從照片上看來 您的螢幕似乎還是頗為陽春的17" LCD(沒看錯的話) 若是要發揮PM G5的真正威力 沒有怪獸螢幕30"LCD或是兩~三顆小一點的螢幕否則很難做到 (除非您想把一堆視窗擠在同一個小小的螢幕裏面)
順便分享一下敝人14歲時做的事情 由於當年家境並不如您 許多配備都是從最基本的開始 然後再逐一更換 (換下來的就拿去二手市場賣這樣...) 也從中累積不少知識和經驗 例如您所說的當機問題 敝人當年就曾經從Windows 95換到Windows 98再換到SE並且調整硬體找到當機原因然後做出最佳配置等等 有時候可以為一個小問題盯著Windows的安裝畫面看一整天 然後才發現原來jumper調錯
最後 只能說 不曉得您是不是天才兒童14歲唸大學 會有"設計科"這種課而且還有需要開三天夜車的Project(雖然說開三天夜車甚至是一整個禮拜睡眠時間在10小時以內對這裡的大學生來說是家常便飯) 請您好好珍惜您父親的恩澤 畢竟在台灣14歲就有頂級G5可以把玩的小孩還真是屈指可數阿:P
ps. 建議增加螢幕數量 版主說的那些可以不理:P (不要砍我文阿
) 多幾顆螢幕絕對可以增加處理圖檔和做Flash的效率 像是一邊開Photoshop或Illustrator然後一邊放Flash馬上匯入用其他軟體做好的圖檔等等 可以省去許多切換視窗的麻煩

Your guess was wrong.... I am using only 15" mon, anyway, mon size was not a important point(no money la), but we have expose, f9 f10 f11, right?
With my G5, i felt happy with Mac OS, this is important than the machine, Mac OS make anything easiy, powerful, and beautiful.

When I come to the world, I got asthma, and always go to the hospital. my father didn't know wh is computer, but my uncle and my aunt is a computer engineer in "Digital" HongKong, and I always see wh they doing in their room, when I was 3, I can turn on computer and turn off computer.... My father surprised and let me tried to use computer. lot of skill of comptuer was fund by myshelf....
When I was 6~11 years old, in lot of people's life, they have GameBoy. but, until today, I never have GameBoy or other thing can play games.... But I can play with my computer, install software..... and uninstall..... I felt interesting with this machine, When I 9 years old, I can reconstitute PC myshelf, and DIY a new machine myshelf..... after a years, I helped lot of friends to made PC.....
When I was 10 years old .... I have made my own website with flash, all things, I am only make with my PII computer.
Did my fimaly rich? no. Our family use money in computers more only, My first mobile phone is only nokia 1100, which is only bought in few mouth ago, This computer is the last computer by my father's money too.... anyway, thank you for you share.
