他是稱讚台灣醫療好可沒說台灣的防疫好，
反而提到從台灣回新加坡後要自我隔離檢疫。
從這幾天的氣氛來看，
更有可能的是反諷台灣的確診數少是另有原因，
新加坡不因你台灣沒啥疫情就不必檢疫，特別是還貼了台灣影片。
I am relaxed - no reason at all to be angry with anybody.
One Singapore mother was very happy recently. Her son just finished his own self quarantine after he returned from Taiwan.
Taiwan was a life saver for the son.
Son had serious problem of tinnitus - ringing in the ear. It was so loud and persistent that he couldn’t sleep, and started having black rings round his eyes.
Mother and son searched, and found one TCM clinic in Taiwan which may be able to help.
And so the son went - they would pay by instalments. After 3 days, the son was so happy as the ringing had softened, and he was able to sleep for a few hours straight for the 1st time in months.
His army buddy decided to go over to keep him company.
Mother was so pleased.
Son came back, after a week of compressed treatment as he couldn’t afford to stay there for the usual 3 weeks treatment. The clinic kindly agreed after hearing him out - a real boddhisitva kindness.
Then, they raised more money to go for a 2nd round to try to reduce it.
Then with the covid breaking all over, they hesitated.
Should he stay or should he return.
Sg was calling our young ones home from abroad.
The mother and son decided he should stay and complete his course. After all, why waste time, abandoning the treatment halfway, and he was already there anyway.
Son finished treatment. And Mother was running around trying to find a place for him to self quarantine after his return. At that time, only returnees from USA and Europe needed to quarantine.
She found a place eventually just in time before son was due to land.
Some friends with svc apartments had offered to help host her son for free, but she and her generation believed in paying for their own way, even if it takes her to pay by instalments - nonetheless, a big thank you for the kind souls to offer to host her son for free.
I just met her recently before the circuit breaker started. She was beaming from ear to ear that her son is now finally back at home, after more than a month away.
And importantly, her son has seen such improvements that he was able to sleep and eat properly, and no longer suffering in agony with big sad panda eyes from lack of sleep.
So for this and many other ways of support, i fully applaud Taiwan.
In this fight against covid, no man is an island, and the more we can help each other, the better we can overcome together.
