其實，Kyle Guy 也才 28 歲，加入的也不是溜馬隊的一軍，但也算是一種勵志的故事。畢業於 Virginia 大學的 Kyle Guy 與騎士隊的De'Andre Hunter 、灰熊隊的 Ty Jerome與現任溜馬隊的 Jay Huff 等，曾一起拿下 NCAA champion（2019），是當年的 NCAA Final Four Most Outstanding Player。

後來，2019: 2nd round, 55th overall pick，加入國王 2 個球季，也打過熱火。

根據報導：On April 11, 2025, Nevada announced Guy's hiring as an assistant coach under fellow Indiana native, Steve Alford.後來，On October 1, 2025, Guy signed with the Indiana Pacers。也就是說，Kyle Guy 身兼大學的助理教練與溜馬隊 G 聯盟球員的雙重身份。

結束了漫長的連敗之後，Rick Carlisle 終於達成了 1000 勝的里程碑。7 勝 31 敗的溜馬，應該是鎖定的 26 屆選秀會的頂尖新人，像是 Darryn Peterson、AJ Dybantsa 與 Cameron Boozer。我覺得以溜馬的隊形與球風，挑中 Cameron Boozer 來與 Tyrese Haliburton 搭配上，會有最大的效果。

溜馬在本季坦得很明顯，經常在第四節被翻盤，原本預期會大爆發的 Bennedict Mathurin ，場均僅微幅上漲 1.7 分，來到 17.8，命中率下滑至生涯新低的 42.3%。

真正有實質成長的球員正是 Andrew Nembhard，場均從 10 分提升至 17 分，助攻數也來到每場 7 次，近兩場則是連續達 11 次，有越來越穩的表現，也有今天的勝利。

Rick Carlisle 在傷兵眾多，且人手不足的情況下，至少偷到了一名堪用的替補中鋒 Jay Huff。也許，溜馬隊會暑期中的自由市場或交易市場找一個真正的先發等級長人，但在那之前，Huff 已經是當前溜馬最值得信賴人選。

不過，我最希望溜馬能交易到爵士隊的 Walker Kessler，雖然，Kessler 本季報銷，但他才 24 歲，又曾跟 Tyrese Haliburton 一起入選美國代表隊。當前來看，溜馬能出的交易包並不誘人，可能只有 Obi Toppin 或 Bennedict Mathurin。

INDIANAPOLIS -- — Andrew Nembhard scored 26 points, Pascal Siakam added 25 and the Indiana Pacers held off the Atlanta Hawks 129-124 on Saturday night.

Pascal Siakam 已經是全明星球員，現在，健康的 Andrew Nembhard 打得也像是一個全明星後衛。

Aaron Nesmith added 23 points, Nembhard had 10 assists and Siakam shot 11 of 15 from the field. The Pacers won despite 23 turnovers

Aaron Nesmith 的水準極不穩定，但這一場很棒。The Pacers have won seven of their past 12 games。

在近期表現突出的中鋒 J. Huff 並沒有被 Rick Carlisle 擺上先發，而是用壯碩的前鋒 Jarace Walker 當先發中鋒。而上季先發的 Bennedict Mathurin 也是被二年級的 Johnny Furphy 取代。

在我看來，Rick Carlisle 會如此的調度，只是在培養新人，像是 Jarace Walker 和 Johnny Furphy ，順便為明年的陣容作調整。如果，Walker 和 Furphy 練好，明年又多加了兩名可勝任第二陣容的小兵。

去年的總冠軍賽出鋒頭的 T.J. McConnell 已 33 歲，也不太需要的操練，仍能在本場控場，幫助 Ben Sheppard 與 Jay Huff 有更好的發揮。

面對強敵，如塞爾蒂克、雷霆、老鷹，溜馬都能獲勝，難道坦爛計畫的生變？我覺得溜馬有自己的步調，由於之前的傷兵過多，贏不了是正常的。如今，重要的傷兵都歸隊，認真的打，應該是要盤點戰力，找出最佳的組合。

溜馬隊最薄弱的禁區戰力，像是上季報銷的 Isaiah Jackson，如今已跌出主要輪換。Tony Bradley 即便是仍在隊上，也是用短約（10-day contract）暫留。Micah Potter 雖然堪用，但起伏不定，也是無法走得長遠。

本季交易截止日將至，下一個溜馬隊的先發中鋒會是誰呢？

明年，真的是溜馬的好時機，但東區列強也在交易市場增強自己實力，未來的競爭就更值得看了！

Ivica Zubac 一來，Jay Huff 果然只是繼續當替補中鋒練，而 Jarace Walker 也可以繼續操，當矮中鋒玩。本季的剩餘場次，溜馬就要衡量替補戰力要怎麼調配，先發組的卡位雖未明朗，但厚植板凳戰力也很重要。我的意思是，溜馬要繼續坦，還是努力的操 ?

真讓溜馬躺到一個狀元 Darryn Peterson，Andrew Nembhard 恐要下放到板凳組，這樣 T.J. McConnell 還可以擔任第三梯隊的頭頭。若是選中 AJ Dybantsa 就是較容易安排，就是維持目前的板凳群。最麻煩的，萬一選 Cameron Boozer 或 Caleb Wilson，就會與目前的主力前鋒們 Obi Toppin、Jarace Walker 與 Pascal Siakam，有排擠效應。

假如落到第 5、第 6 、第 7 順位，搞不好也是不會太揪心的順位，可以選控衛 Kingston Flemings、Keaton Wagler 或 Mikel Brown Jr.。

個人的猜測是溜馬隊是不會錯過今年結束後的選秀大年，但會很認真測試球員的成長狀況，最明顯的就是讓 Johnny Furphy 擔任先發組，而把 Ben Sheppard 繼續放替補組，因為 Ben Sheppard 的上限就只是板凳水準。接下來，我希望溜馬將 Jarace Walker 調回替補組，往攻守兩端均衡發展的小前鋒練，他會有機會成為貧民版的 Kawhi Leonard。

Furphy landed awkwardly on his leg after a dunk in the third quarter of Indiana’s loss to Toronto on Monday (all times AEDT).

The 21-year old fell to the floor in pain clutching his right knee and eventually had to be helped to the locker room in a wheelchair.

Otherwise, the Pacers bring back plenty of familiar faces from their Finals run, including Pascal Siakam, Aaron Nesmith, Andrew Nembhard, T.J. McConnell and Obi Toppin. Veteran coach Rick Carlisle hasn't gone anywhere, either.

Buchanan said the Pacers felt good entering the offseason about their starters and their top reserves but felt they needed a bit more depth on the wing. Although they explored potential trade scenarios, they kept coming back to Oubre, whom they viewed as a “win-now” player who could contribute on both sides of the ball.

“He impacts the game on the defensive side of the ball as much as he can on the offensive side, which was appealing to us,” Buchanan said. “Last year was probably the best shooting year of his career. We think there’s more room from that regard for Kelly. I think he’ll see more open shots created in our system than he’s probably seen in his career. However, the Pacers valued Nance’s defensive versatility and veteran know-how, according to Buchanan, who said the 33-year-old was Indiana’s “best option that was gettable” among this summer’s frontcourt free agents. “I think our coaches felt really comfortable with his basketball IQ, his experience, and just his personality felt like a really good fit with our locker room as well,” the Pacers’ GM said. “Larry really had targeted us, wanted to be here with the Pacers and I think he’s very motivated to have a bounce-back season. 新人部分，第二輪第 38 順位選進的22 歲的白人空衛 Braden Smith 至今尚未簽約，他是 NCAA 的助攻王，地板型的傳球手。反倒是夏聯表現優異的 Jalen Slawson 先被溜馬以雙向合約留下。 Jalen Slawson 上一季已在溜馬出賽 7 場，留下 7.3 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 2.8 assists。Slawson 是 2023: 2nd round, 54th overall pick，資歷上只有 2 年，但從選秀進後，本季已是第 3 年，會跟上一季從快艇轉來的的 Kobe Brown 一起奮鬥。

個人是覺得溜馬的第 3 梯隊就不弱，二年級的澳洲小前鋒 Johnny Furphy 右膝前十字韌帶撕裂，溜馬隊官方發布了他已經重新回到球場進行投籃與移位訓練的照片，說不定，本季就可以回歸。

若要簽下 Braden Smith，我猜溜馬會裁掉 Ethan Thompson。
