這一場 Kansas 面對的 TTU，兩隊的命中率相當低，最終比數 64：61 也不高。

出賽 35 分鐘的 Darryn Peterson 全場僅 14 投 5 中，但關鍵時刻，兩顆三分幫助 Kansas 連拿 6 分，逆轉獲勝。這種手感不佳，仍能展現大心臟出手的屬性，對他寄予厚望的球隊來說，應該是加分不少。

Darryn Peterson 重點，後續的觀察仍是他的抽筋問題了，只要他持續能上場，離選秀狀元之路應該是更近一點。

高中時期幾乎打遍天下無敵手的 Cameron Boozer，轉到大學後，也是就讀名校杜克。反觀，一直被看扁的前鋒 Caleb Wilson 持續進化，也因此，兩人的聲勢都達到了選秀 Top 5 的地位。

先說結果，Cameron Boozer 拿到了 24 分、11 籃板，而 Caleb Wilson 也拿到了 23 分、4 籃板，帳面上是不分軒輊。實際上，兩人較少對位，杜克指派 M. Brown 去守 Caleb Wilson，而北卡派中鋒 H. Veesaar 去守 Boozer。

兩隊鏖戰到最後一刻，由北卡大四的後衛 S. Trimble 投進致勝三分，71：68，逆轉比賽。

杜克幾乎在北卡大學場地領先了整場比賽，結果在讀秒階段的時候被準絕殺，實在是很多錯誤的投籃選擇造成了。他們能在領先時，投進理所當然的球，但也有很多莫名其妙的出手。

原本，Cameron Boozer 有機會在最後的一波進攻當英雄，但是打板不進，這個印象分數，恐會對他的選秀造成下滑，因為他缺少了關鍵一擊的能力。

雖然，Darryn Peterson scored 13 of his 15 points in the second half as the Jayhawks twice rallied from double-digit deficits. Kansas went on a 17-1 run to cut a 20-point halftime deficit to four and trimmed a 12-point deficit to two with four minutes left.但，最終仍以 60：70 落敗。

很遺憾，前三選秀順位的人選，Darryn Peterson 也被淘汰，堪薩斯以 67：65 被絕殺。Peterson 雖拿到了 21 分，但命中率便低，15 投僅 5 中。阿肯色大學的 D. Acuff Jr. 若能在 16 強做掉亞歷桑那大學，那 Acuff Jr. ，且率隊拿到了瘋三冠軍，可能有躍升為狀元郎的聲勢。
