New Orleans Pelicans 選秀：毫無疑問，找 Zion 的幫手！
第 7 順位的鵜鶘，選誰，還要看第 5、6 順位的爵士與巫師，才能下定論。但我覺得鵜鶘的最佳選擇是杜克的中鋒 Khaman Maluach。
身材的高度，正是鵜鶘隊最需要的人手，僅管去年，已選進了 Yves Missi，但兩名長人仍有不同。Maluach 最被低估的是投射能力，這點，是可拉開禁區對手防線的利器。
Y. Missi 是守優於攻，Maluach 則是更全面的長人。有球評不看好他的耐打度，甚至將他放在首輪中段。對於連續 2 年都挑長人的決策，其實，也不難，就是選 Maluach 來搭配這位杜克的學長 Z. Williamson。
若 Maluach 提早被選，我覺得鵜鶘仍有 Kon Knueppel 可挑。但這杜克雙人都被爵士與巫師雙雙攔截，至少還有 Tre Johnson 這名得分手可挑。
本季，鵜鶘好不容易得到正牌控衛 Dejounte Murray，沒想到只打了 31 場，竟骨折報銷。另一個後場大將 C. McCollum 也只出賽 56 場。新球季，只要這兩人健康，後場有很大的保障。
小前鋒也有雙保險，就是 Herb Jones 與 Trey Murphy，不管誰先發，都是可輪流發揮。
鵜鶘的新賽季，要著重在板凳深度，也許，可考慮續簽 Bruce Brown。但若留不下，就得期待菜鳥群的成長。
二年級的砍將 Jordan Hawkins ，得擔當領袖，多練組織，帶領長人 Yves Missi 與 Karlo Matkovic，再加上 Antonio Reeves 去夏聯磨練。Jordan Hawkins 與 Antonio Reeves 能把外線練得更穩，對來年鵜鶘的深度是一大幫助。

Zion Williamson sued over sexual assault, kidnapping allegations

A woman has accused New Orleans Pelicans forward Zion Williamson of rape in addition to "sexual, physical, emotional and financial" abuse over the span of a multiyear relationship, according to a lawsuit submitted to Los Angeles Superior Court on Thursday.
The woman, who is identified as Jane Doe, accuses Williamson of a "continuing pattern of abusive, controlling and threatening behavior" over the course of a relationship that started during Williamson's freshman year at Duke and lasted from 2018 to 2023.

The Wizards shift from Poole to the veteran McCollum, who has an expiring contract. Washington now is expected to approach $100 million in projected cap space in 2026. The Pelicans get younger with the additions of Poole and Bey.
Poole led the Wizards in scoring last season, pouring in 20.5 points per game to go along with 3.0 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 1.3 steals per game in 68 starts.
Bey missed the entire season while recovering from a torn left ACL.
Bey 滿血回歸的話，鵜鶘還有賺，至於，Poole，我不敢想像。

Free agent center Kevon Looney, a three-time NBA champion with the Golden State Warriors, has agreed to a two-year, $16 million deal with the New Orleans Pelicans, sources told ESPN's Shams Charania.

New Orleans Pelicans forward Herb Jones has agreed to a three-year, $68 million contract extension with the franchise, representatives Mark Bartelstein and Kieran Piller of Priority Sports told ESPN.
The 26-year-old has risen from a second-round pick in the 2021 NBA draft to a two-way stalwart for the Pelicans, being named to the 2023-24 All-Defensive first team. He is one of eight players with 350 steals and 150 blocks since he entered the league. Jones has ranked in the top 10 in defense against isolations over the past two seasons among players to defend 150 isolations, per GeniusIQ.
Jones also shot a career-best 42% on 3-pointers in 2023-24. He played only 20 games last season due to shoulder/labrum injuries, which were the fewest in a season in his career.

沒有意外，26 歲的前鋒 Zion Williamson 會是新主帥 Jamahl Mosley 的頭號王牌，主副則是另一個 26 歲的年輕選手 Trey Murphy III。這感覺，像是 Mosley 複制前球隊（魔術）的格局。
後場先發，是傷癒康復後，將完整出賽的 Dejounte Murray，29 歲的 Dejounte Murray 加上 Zion 與 Murphy 就是鵜鶘隊的三大主力。Dejounte Murray 的後場搭檔，我覺得會是 Saddiq Bey，而不是自走砲 Jordan Poole。這 4 個鋒衛球員，資歷至少都 5 年起跳，準備邁向巔峰期。
主戰中鋒就很可能是二年級的 Derik Queen，去年開始就嶄露頭角，綽號小約老師，會是改變團隊攻守秩序的關鍵人物。而去年加入的雙能衛 Jeremiah Fears 則是得分爆發力十足，會是很棒的第 6 人。
Jamahl Mosley 所帶領的魔術隊並沒有讓魔術雙星打出頂尖的球隊戰績，但 Paolo Banchero 與 Franz Wagner 的個人數據就相當漂亮。
最近有傳穩，鵜鶘要出售 Jordan Hawkins，而 多隊覬覦 Trey Murphy III 的消息則從未間斷。距離開季還有 3 個月，哪些球員會異動，都在觀察之中。
