Chicago Bulls 季後檢討：Josh Giddey or Coby White
在公牛隊正式送走 Z. LaVine 後，原以為不跟 Lonzo Ball 續約，但目前的消息仍是給他機會。
Coby White 是本季公牛隊在後半季的主攻手，在三月份，場均爆增到 27.7 分，球隊也獲得了 9 勝 6 負的佳績。Coby White 的身高與打法，讓我想起前公牛隊的砍將 Ben Gordon。
整個球季下來，Josh Giddey 的表現其實算不好，但當他有驚人之舉時，公牛隊就有無窮的希望。從雷霆來到公牛，歷經了適應與球隊陣容調整，從二月起，Billy Donovan 才看清 Giddey 的使用說明書。四月份的場均，竟來到了得分、籃板與助攻大三元的表現。
這兩人之間，難道非得找一個一哥？ 我覺得是，但 Donovan 要能安排出取得平衡的陣容。
在前鋒位置的養成上，去年（2024）挑中的 Matas Buzelis 算是一偷，當初的預測中，應該是更高的順位。Patrick Williams 雖才 23 歲，但進 NBA 已第 5 季，本季才先發 36 場，下一季與 Buzelis 的良性競爭，將決定誰才能先發。
白人射手 Kevin Huerter 轉隊之後，漸入佳境，能與 Giddey 與 White 共處共融是主因，而這位置幾乎無競爭者，也可能是公牛選秀會上，最可能選的頭號位置。我推薦的有：Kon Knueppel、Egor Demin（高控衛）、Liam McNeeley。
禁區雖不是主戰力，但保住了老經驗的 Nikola Vucevic，假如，公牛隊的籤運好一點，能選上 Derik Queen 或 Asa Newell，明年的公牛在禁區戰力上，將相當的有趣。假如不選禁區新秀，板凳上，公牛隊還有兩名中鋒，分別是 Zach Collins 和 Jalen Smith。
替補群是近年養的，控衛有 Ayo Dosunmu，遇到了合約年，應該是力求表現。從馬刺轉來的 Tre Jones 可以不續約，後面還有一個 Dalen Terry。名聲只聲一些的 Lonzo Ball 還能不能勝任先發，實是一個未知數，公牛仍肯用平均年薪 1000 萬留他，算是人情價了。
前鋒能力較弱，Patrick Williams 若打不到先發，就得與 Dosunmu 撐起第六、七人的得分點。養了兩年的二輪前鋒 Julian Phillips ，本季有 79 場出賽，少有佳作，沒練起三分，明年應該是關鍵年。前鋒這個空缺，若是選不到好的新人，只能去自由市場找或是透過交易。像是跟勇士換 Jonathan Kuminga。
最後，是主教 Billy Donovan 的去留。到底 Marc Eversley 是個白人控，從教練到球員，都是努力的挖一些白人，前幾年也都是附加賽徘徊，無法走進季後賽，會不會換教練，是一個十字路口。照目前的消息，公牛與 Donovan 的合約是到期了，留或不留呢？

我覺得公牛應該是先給 Coby White 新合約，以 Cameron Johnson 為例，兩人同年（2019 年）進 NBA，又是北卡的隊友，Cameron Johnson 年薪早破 2000 萬。以 Coby White 這樣準公牛得分王的表現，至少要 4 年，年薪 3000 萬美元起跳。
另一個王牌 Josh Giddey 則是 2021 年的大物之一，若灰熊都能給 Santiago Aldama 超過 1500 萬美元的年薪，我覺得公牛好歹也是要給 2500 萬美元以上的年薪。
Giddey 的問題是之前場外的事件，萬一又惹事，公牛會血本無歸，最好是簽 2 + 1，等他安分守己，再考慮之後再給長約。
公牛目前的情況下，頂多是附加賽陣容，給誰大約，還是要多考慮一下。若 Matas Buzelis 成功的大爆發，他才是公牛該簽的大物。
也難怪近年都有傳聞公牛想要勇士隊的 Jonathan Kuminga。公牛自身有半棄養的 Patrick Williams （年薪1800 萬） 和若再出控衛 Ayo Dosunmu（年薪 750 萬），勇士該認真的考慮先簽後換。一方面，Draymond Green 也老了，勇士不妨練看看 Patrick Williams。
另一個人選就是 Nikola Vucevic （ 年薪 2000 萬），再貼一個 Jevon Carter，也行，讓勇士隊考慮要不要？這兩個都只剩 1 年合約。

Josh Giddey not expected to sign for $30 million annually ?
“The Bulls and Giddey want to get a deal done,” said Bulls insider K.C. Johnson. “I don’t have particular numbers other than to say that Josh Giddey’s $30 million a year price tag that has been well-documented in media and out there since last fall when the rookie contract extension was discussed, has not ever crossed my radar. “I have never heard the Bulls mention that number. So I would not expect Josh Giddey to sign a $30 million [annual] deal.”
為什麼雷霆要送走他 Giddey 呢？這小子得先做到最好吧！公牛還只是附加賽球隊，排 第 9、10 名。
有沒有可能公牛隊會將 Giddey 送走呢？是有的，因為有傳言爵士隊想要他。

恭喜 Dosunmu，但他得表現得更好，因為 Kawamura 來了。
KC Johnson: I reported earlier this offseason on this very segment that I had heard far more chatter about Ayo Dosunmu in terms of the trade market than I had about Coby White. I can now tell you that chatter has largely died down, at least as of late July, and I do expect Dosunmu to be back in a Bulls uniform for next season. The Bulls did have substantive talks — I'm told — with a Western Conference playoff team earlier this offseason regarding Dosunmu, but the two teams could not find common ground on a trade package. All signs for now point to Ayo returning.
其實，Dosunmu 比較有人要，不是他太強，而是便宜又好用，大概 600 ~ 1000 萬美元。Coby White 大概要年均 2500 萬美元才搶得到。

Bobby Marks: So when you dig around the Josh Giddey situation, who had a terrific year, certainly the last 25 games, he was offered four years, $80 million when free agency started, that number has gone up to four years, $88 million.
That number is at the bottom of the starting point guards here. So, if you're the Bulls and you just committed five years, $90 million to Patrick Williams based on a lesser body of work, now you're all of a sudden drawing a line in the sand as far as where you are with Josh Giddey here.
