I would say roughly 80-90% of the people that come to Nome with intentions of dredging fail to recoup their costs of operation. Meaning, only a small percentage of people are actually making money at dredging. Everyone else is breaking even or losing their shirt.
換句話說只有10-20%的人是打平或賺錢。產能也小的可以。上電視賣夢想給鄉民還賺得比較快。
怪不得美國人常說Sell shovels to gold miners才是賺錢的方式。（ps: bering sea gold這個節目是用$1600來計算的）

你要知道真正在Alaska的開採成本嗎？2011年$1800美元不會賺錢,2012年Barrick Gold退出Alaska的Donlin Goldmine。在Alaska開礦要獲利樂觀估計要$2000也上才會賺錢。
你如果是美國人，應該現在已在Nome找黃金。
