If you encountered a limit prior to that then either 1) you're using an Outlook 97-2002 (ANSI) PST, which has a 2GB limit or you are using a FAT32 file system, which limits files to 4GB. You can easily (if tediously) change an ANSI PST to Unicode, the format used by Outlook 2003 or higher""
Outlook .PST & .OST can be configured to larger limit ...
But require to alter registry entry:
•The MaxFileSize registry entry
•The WarnFileSize registry entry
•The MaxLargeFileSize registry entry
•The WarnLargeFileSize registry entry
However, I never try to touch regidtry entry ...
I just created another (different name).PST in the outlook to use ...
