hi ian, not sure when your drop of connection occurs but the default setting for mfe is constant connection from 8am to 5pm. after that, it will connect only once every 4 hr (that was my E72's default setting). so if your problem is that it won't stay connected after 5pm, then the default mfe setting could be the cause.
mfe does have a lot of bugs, but for me, so far drop of connection isn't one of them.
