[分享] WM2003 中文字體測試報告 (試驗失敗, 請高手相助)

本人有一台 iPAQ HP2210 英文版, 運行 wm2003, 裝上怪獸中文 2003 (CE.NET 版), 中文難看極了, (之少對比本人以前那台 casio e-125 + ce-star 而言)

早前, 本人亦曾測試, 能否將 ce-star 的 sung14.ttc 字體套用在 wm2003 下, 可惜, 該字體並不支援 wm2003, 中文字變了豆腐. 唯有繼續用難看極了的 bookding 字體.

後來, 謝謝此版的熱心朋友, pehsnuter 傳我一個中文 rom 使用的 msming.ttf, size 若 3MB 多一點點, 字體在 today 中, 只是比 bookding "稍微" 好看一點點罷了, 但在其他地方中使用, 例如看電子書, pocket word 中, 則較 bookding 好看.

若有興趣一試的朋友, 可參考這個:
1) 將字體 msming.ttf copy 到 \windows 下
2) 修改注冊表 \HKLM\Microsoft\FontLink\SystemLink
將 Arial, Courier New, Tahoma, Times New 的 data 改為
\Windows\msming.ttf,Ms Ming
3) 軟啟

請問有經驗的師長... 在 wm2003 繁體版中是否使用另一款字體 ? (我聽別人說點綴名不是 .ttf 了, 好像像 .ac3) 這個有關係的嗎? 還有其他改善中文字體外觀的辦法嗎?

2003繁體版的字型一樣不太好看...
小字一樣縮成一團...
大字也沒好看到哪..只是是向量字,所以放大還是比點陣字好看...

PPC2003跟2002一樣，即使是中文版也會有時候的字型是小小醜醜的，用2002的伎倆是沒效的，因為多了個.ac3的咚咚，只有假以時日再看看有沒有長官發現如何改2003中文字型的密技

1. Copy the mingliu.ttc into the /Windows folder.
2. Go to registry, edit
3. [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\FontLink\SystemLink]
"Arial"=\Windows\mingliu.ttc,PMingLiU
"Times New Roman"=\Windows\mingliu.ttc,PMingLiU
"CourierNew"=\Windows\mingliu.ttc,PMingLiU
"Tahoma"=\Windows\mingliu.ttc,PMingLiU
"Symbol"=\Windows\mingliu.ttc,PMingLiU

我試過了，可是沒法解決所有的醜字問題，是有改善一些，可是還是不好，畢竟這是要花8M的空間，好像不划算.....

I think that I screw up big time --- after trying the new font for a while, I decide that it is not worth the 8+MB RAM size. But after restoring everything (those 4 strings) back to original, I cannot delete the mingliu.ttc file!!!

Now it stays on my RAM forever! What can/should I do now? How to delete the mingliu.ttc file? Help!

BTW, I used RESCO file explorer, regular file explorer, connecting to PC and use explorer on PC and all cannot delete the giant file.....

p.s. when I deleted this file, I got a message saying that it is shared by other programs. But I am 100% sure that I change these 4 strings back to the original.

1.先剪下到temp檔裡,reset再砍...
2.用pc連線,更改附檔名,reset再砍..
