I have a spare notebook, which I thought I'd like to make it into a media center. So, here's where Mini came in!
It become a great media remote control and let me choose/play any mp3 WITH my notebook which I placed in the center of my house, and I can control it from anywhere inside the house(as long as you still can enjoy the music)!

if you have bluetooth/wifi you can remote control your media centre(used notebook/desktop and a good speaker) WOW! the experience is so wonderful!!

I dont think you can remote control directly without any software assitance. Even with S.E. the controlled equipment must be ready made to accept controls from S.E. Bluetooth phone only. Which means it has the designated function written in it(and more costly).
There is another program called vinyl. same function i havent tried out.
