You already have a few gadgets to work with for performance issues. Hence, if you just want to "own a Mac, experience a Mac".... I believer MBA has more to offer than MBP.
The thing about OSX that I appreciate the most is.... I don't need to worry to much about minor stuffs. It's not like Mac cant do details, but more like it can handle my casual attitude and still produce acceptable results.
MBA fits the idea in the hardware aspect.

樓主已經有不少工具可以用，很多硬體性能方面的問題你大概都有辦法搞定。如果你現
在的目標是想要「感受 Mac 」的話，那選 MBA 會比校好。 Mac OSX 的特色就是你做
很多瑣事都可以很隨性。並不是說 OSX 無法做高複雜度的東西，或是 OSX 有多神奇能
把東西變的多好。我個人用 OSX 的感想是：可以在幾乎不用腦力，隨便選選的狀態下
就能生出「可以接受」的解決方式。這包括圖庫、音樂、排程等等等等的同步與管理....
在硬體的角度來看，MBA 比較偏向這個概念。隨性使用，不頂尖但大致上都能應付。
