2007 Volkswagen Eos
VW selected the Goodyear tires in size 235/45R17 for the all-new model that goes on sale in the U.S. late this year.
The Eos will be available in the U.S. with a 200-horsepower 2.0-liter turbo four and a 250-horsepower 3.2-liter V6. The car comes with a full complement of standard equipment: stability control, sport seats, and 17-inch alloy wheels on the V6 models.
The Eos model is referred to as "CSC" - coupe/sunroof/convertible - allowing owners to convert the three-panel roof to match the characteristics of a hardtop coupe, an integrated sunroof or a convertible.
The Eagle LS-2 tire features an all-season design with an optimized tread pattern for quiet performance and wide circumferential tread grooves to channel water away.
Goodyear tires are original equipment on many vehicles from Acura, Audi, Cadillac, Chevrolet, Dodge, Ford, GMC, Honda, Hummer, Infiniti, Isuzu, Jeep, Land Rover, Lexus, Mazda, Mercury, Nissan and Toyota. 性能国民胎 固特异高性能轮胎赛道测试
固特异新推出的Assurance轮胎是一款对应中型房车的乘用胎，没想到其试驾活动竟然是在F1雪邦赛车场举行，这到底是个噱头还是产品果真如此优异，行前只有”雪邦”两个字吸引我。
虽然这几年轮胎的趋势是“加大轮圈尺寸”，但由于轮胎是车用零件的一部份，因此销售大宗还是中型房车的一般尺寸，Assurance就是在此立基点下诞生，不过它更用上多项高性能胎的技术，因此干湿地的操控表现也打破此级距既有水平，相信这亦是原厂选择雪邦赛道测试的主因。
『立体凹凸套合槽』
规格从175/65HR14起跳至225/60VR16的Assurance，主要对象是亚洲区的中型房车，其同级对手大致是普利司通GR80及米其林 XM1，同时有四种尺寸已导入国产。在相关的构成上，Assurance特别运用ArmorGrip技术强化全天候的循迹性，这是利用胎面的3D立体凹凸套合槽设计（Waffle Blade）提升抓地力与制动性，同时能维持横向胎块的稳定性防止侧滑，且能使实际接地面积极大化，加上配方中融入硅胶促进橡胶聚合物的化学结合，接地性能自然有更进一步的表现。
『硅胶配方』
再者，ArmorGrip技术还强调防护力一项，因此Assurance的环带为轻量、高强度的杜邦Kevlar纤维制成，配合硅胶配方的双层结构强化胎壁之后，对抗路面异物与坑洞的效果也更为显著，所以安全性亦为此胎诉求的重点之一。至于胎纹的设计方面，属纵向非对称花纹的Assurance是以大量的块状胎面增加接地面积，并藉由连贯的宽深沟槽迅速排水，而Kevlar构造还能降低噪音，这些都是高性能胎的实践。
『功夫龙环带』
来到雪邦试胎的确是让人极度兴奋的事情，不过由于这次是整个亚洲区的媒体约150人参加，故原厂仅仅安排三个测试项目体验，提供的车辆则顺应 Assurance的定位有Mazda 6、八代思域与Altis等选择，其中第一个关卡最能激发大家的肾上腺素，因为这是从维修站起点再进站的北赛道冲刺。关于这条全长2.706公里、由九个弯角构成的跑道，最速单圈是由保时捷 GT3所创的1分11秒905，平均速度并达到135.48km/h，虽然无法感受跑全场的快感，但比起台湾的龙潭还是爽快多了。

安殊轮轮胎体验有感
一直以来对于固特异的轮胎了解往往来源于行政、商务用车，比如在奥迪和宝马等豪华车型上也可见到，虽然曾经听说固特异轮胎有着胎质较硬，抓地仍有待提高的说法，但是直到我见到了崭新的4条安殊轮轮胎时，我的印象在漫漫的变化。
通过和轮胎店专家了解到，安殊轮新一代产品在橡胶加工过程中特别加入了独特的工艺和配方，区别于传统技术和轮胎花纹，安殊轮更注重了综合路况下的抓地表现。如果不仔细的观察我还以为安殊轮模仿了YOKOHAMA AD07或是RS2的花纹。一般对于比较爱玩车的朋友除了关注轮胎的抓地力以外，还都会特别的注重轮胎侧面的胎质，通过我实际的观察，虽然不及一些高端的经济轮胎，但是在模拟轮胎转弯积压变形的过程中，感觉轮胎的接触面积有所加大，而轮胎最外侧的排水槽设计更加体现了轮胎设计者对于湿地和雨天驾驶安全性的注重。
在安装完轮胎之后，通过我在城市公路、山区、以及特别找了一段湿滑路面的驾驶体验之后，区别于其它固特异其它规格的轮胎，抓地的极限有所增强，而且耐磨性让我很是吃惊，模拟测滑和高速过弯以后，轮胎的接触面仍然还有蛮清晰的花纹，当然我们不能拿针对高性能热熔轮胎的标准来苛刻的要求安殊轮，毕竟这款轮胎的定位是家庭用车，以及在综合路况条件下的轮胎行使表现。
其实如果我们细心观察，各个厂家的轮胎花纹设计都有相似之处，注重综合路面驾驶，针对在干燥轮面以及高速公路上驾驶的稳定性，轮胎的中间都设计了导向花纹，针对湿地路面，排水槽的花纹设计更加宽大，从而增强了轮胎的抓地力，和以往的干地轮胎不同，安殊轮从细微之处更加体贴和关爱驾驶者。

“ 铠甲抓地” 技术中的“ 铠甲”功能
此次，固特异将杜邦凯芙拉材料应用到新型安殊轮中，该轻型材料的强度比钢材强度高5倍，常用于制造防弹背心、防弹衣和军用头盔等。“将杜邦凯芙拉纤维应用到乘用车轮胎具有革命性意义，目前，这项技术在行业中占据领先地位。”固特异亚太区乘用轮胎市场总监辛格指出，“当驾驶者遭遇铺满碎石和崎岖不平的路面状况时，固特异全新的安殊轮凭借对邦凯芙拉纤维的成功应用，令驾驶者可以轻松应对这些路面险情。”除了采用杜邦凯芙拉纤维，固特异安殊轮还在胎侧采用了“防撞墙”硅胶加强配方，以增加抗划伤和耐磨损的性能。
