If you downgrade Acer Aspire Seires NB to XP , Acer's official website does not provide the proper
XP drivers.
To find possible XP drivers , go to Aspire ONE section for drivers , look for similar chipsets drivers.
Some/Most Aspire One Netbook does support XP OS.
I just bought a Acer 5820TG , i5-450 and is using XP.
The drivers I am using as follow :
1. Install Microsoft_.NETFramework35_sp1
2. Chipset_Intel_9.1.1.1024_Win7x64 , from 5820TG
3. AHCI for Intel HM55 , from 5820TG
you need to switch BIOS to IDE , then MANUALLY install the drivers .
Be sure to select the 4 port AHCI dirver , if you select others , may hang.
reboot and change BIOS to AHCI mode.
4. Turbo Boost_Intel_1.0.1.1002_Win7x64 , from 5820TG
5. Intel Graphic Media Accelerator HD 6.14.10.5284 , from 5820TG
6. LAN_Atheros_1.0.0.23_Win7x64 , from 5820TG
( some models may have different LAN chipset )
7. Audio_Realtek_6.0.1.6050_Win7x64 , from 5820TG
8. Wireless LAN_Broadcom_5.60.350.6_XPx86_AO533 , from Acer AO533 !!!!
9. Camera_Suyin_5.8.54.008_XPx86 , from Acer AOD255 !!!
10. Camera Utility_Suyin_6.1.7600.16385_Win7x64 , from Acer 8943G
Other version will work fine too . Most important is the driver in item 9
11. Bluetooth_Broadcom_5.6.0.4500_XPx86 , from Acer 8943G
AO533 version will work fine too . but this is latest version
12. Launch Manager_Dritek_4.0.12_XPx86 , from Acer AO255
13. CardReader_Alcor_1.2.17.05001_W7x64_A , form 5820TG
14. TouchPad_Synaptics_14.0.6.0_Win7x64 , from 5820 TG
15. ATI Catalyst 10.8 Suite for Microsoft Windows XP (32-bit)
