well... the difference are the following:
1. V2S using 64bits video cards... which the performance of its GF8600 is similar or worst than GF8400... you can see the other forum.... so as a reult, F8S scores way better in terms of 3DMark, PCMark, and WEI
2. V2S has 3.5G mobile card (only the later version)
3. V2S has optional base for you to buy...
4. V2S can support 9 cells battery whereas F8S only suppor 6 cells battery
5. F8S has Express Card size remote control
that's all I can think of.... hope this helps.. ^^
