I just brought a 40D, which I pre-order from HK local camera shop, for $8980 HKD. ~$1150 USD.
The body itself compare with my 5D, lighter, almost same size, a lot small mirror & focus screen.
Compare with my 400D, it is almost same weight on my hand, but bigger size.
Compare with my friends 30D, the LCD screen are big or huge.
The live view function are great, I use it just like a point & shoot small DC. Take off the lens, with live view, I can see CMOS very clear.
