a.從外型看起來，E410跟E400幾乎一模一樣，應該共用絕大多數的模具。也應該沒有可活動的LCD。E410的體積只有129,5 xs 91 xs 53 mm，重量比E400略增15g到380g，應該是跟Live View有關。
b. E510看起來跟E500有著明顯的外觀差距。比起E410的小改款，E510要算世代的大改款了。除了尺寸相近外（E500：130X95X66mm，435g；E510：136 xs 91.5 xs 56mm，460g，明顯的拉長變扁，有走向E330的感覺？E330：140X87X72mm，539g） 全機上下看不到有相似的地方。
c. E300/E330及E500是屬於第一代的E system構造，這兩台機身除了不同的反光鏡構造外，其他部分的共通性應該蠻高的。這些機身構造應該是E1那個時代的了。
至於E400/E410及E510則看得出來共用大部分的機身組件（如反光鏡箱），包含轉盤及按鈕等。不過有兩個很大的不同點：
1. 比起E410，E510的旗艦部大上很多；這點可以從和閃燈熱靴的比例上看出。應該是為了改進E300/E500/E400等入門機太小的觀景窗（4/3系統小片幅的宿命）。也可以說是E1後繼機（據說會導入全新的設計大幅改善觀景窗大小）的熱身。這點等新機上市可以再來驗證。另外，從機身尺寸及比例上也可以看出兩者是不同的五菱鏡設計。
2. 不同於E400，維持機身把手的設計。也因此E510的電池應該還是BLM-1。
d. 另外，個人感覺E410的體積只適合使用14-42mm/F3.5-5.6 ED及40-150mm/F4-5.6 ED這兩支。E510則搭配11-22mm﹑14-54mm甚至Leica 14-50mm OIS還不會太奇怪。
