X5出到現在也差不多6~7年了吧！這次到底是小改款還是大改款，照理來說應該是要大改款了吧！但整體車型變化並沒有很大耶！感覺只有車頭燈哪邊有比較大的差別而已。

X5 is build in the US, maybe that's one of the reason BMW didn't change much to the design. The factory in SC just went through a major renovation in late 2006/early 2007, workers are still getting used to the new process of making cars. If BMW made a lot of changes to the new X5, workers will have a lot to learn (both manufacturing process and new design) A lot of variable will go wrong.
when i was at the dealer for the first production run of the X5. I felt the build quality is not as good as the 3 series. (In the US, 3 series are build in Germany) the door gap was big. door closing doesn't sound as solid. parts are not as tight fitted. second row seat fold not smooth. rear door gap is a little big. center console lock-up because the lock was sticking.... all are small things. i am sure things will improve once those workers learn about the new cars.
I think the new look is not very aggressive.
The electronic shifter is not necessary. it only confuse people when they park the car. (instead of push the shifter all the way forward like most cars, you have to pull the "Park" bottom. If you push the shifter all the way forward like you used to, the car will go to reverse. I believe BMW might address this issue in the future, cause i see a potential lawsuit here)
