Have you noticed BMW best its manual mode for spirit driving ?
while most other makers provide boring D mode to live with.

Switch to M1 everytime I need the power , EGS help to manage
the right gear I need w/o worrying about over-rev. $.02

Hi AI Da,

Good to have your message about this. Yes, I always use M1 when I passed the toll station on highway, forgot to mentioned about this point. Normally DS mode is smarter than me to switch the right gear at right time but for the starting I will say M1 is a better choice!

I also use M1 every morning for leaving my parking lot in basement. It is good to have M1 so the gear no need to switch between 1 and 2 during the slope, especially it is much better for the car is just starting the engine and I never warm up more than 10 seconds.

It's great to have communication for BMW diesel car here.

Well, have you tried bio-diesel before? I have used it for more than 6 weeks, one pit stop per week, and so far that's feel not bad and we do something for our earth!
