Same stuff, all you need to do it plug in at the CD box plug at the trunk. CD BOX will not work any more.
No need to take part the dash board. All Jobs are done inthe trunk.
I did mine in 20 Min. 2000 E39 523i & 2006 MINI COPPER S CABRIO. Including routing the Ipod connector to the front.
One question E39 O-ring for vano. Any one does that in Taichung?
I know in the USA there is O-ring kit that you can buy for about USD 500. Any one know where to do the O-ring?

That's another good way to ipod your BMW. In fact, Connect2 provides such an ipod package for the BMW that has equipped with CD changer. However, my E39 didn't select CD changer as an option and therefore it didn't come with pre-wired line in trunk for CD changer. The only way to ipod my E39 is to take apart its MID + Business CD and connect these adapters.
