520i / 528i 疑問 ?

同事要買2012 520i,剛好看到廣告..<BMW 5系列全新TwinPower Turbo動力進化上市>
覺得很不錯.. 但好奇的去kbb看了一下,一如往常美國沒有賣520i,但有另一台528i.
美國2012年式仍沿用 3.0V6, 本還以為是BMW 把28以下的改成渦輪,
不過看來.是我搞錯了.不是很了解為何會有這樣的差別,請大大開示一下 ?

這是BMW I4 TURBO引擎的轉換時程:

Here is the I4 switchover and end of production schedule:
•E89 Z4 sDrive30i to switch to TwinPower I4 in September 2011
•F10/F11 528i to switch to TwinPower I4 in September 2011
•F25 X3 xDrive28i to switch to TwinPower I4 in 4th Quarter 2011
•E81/E87 1 series to end production by August 2011 (new 1-series hatchback launched after Geneva - will herald complete petrol turbo-charged engine line up)
•E82/E88 1 series to end production in June 2012
•E90/E91 3 series and M3 to end production in October 2011
•E92/E93 3 series and M3 to end production sometime in 4th Quarter 2012 (still unconfirmed)

528i應該會是四缸TURBO的，應該是還是尚未完全轉換賣，還是要先賣完直六的車子。
