BMW N47 is BMW's latest four-cylinder common rail diesel engine, with many improvements over its predecessor, the BMW M47.
Having made its debut in the face lifted BMW E87 and the E81 which were both introduced in March 2007, it was also offered from the outset in the BMW E82 and E88, which were introduced later in the same year. The engine also became available in the BMW E60-E61 from September 2007, several months after the E60-E61 were face lifted, during which time the older M47 remained available.
It then followed in October 2007 into the 2008 model year BMW E90/E91/E92/E93, at which time the entire 3 series range gained the company's Efficient Dynamics. Not long after it became available in the BMW E83 X3, and since then it has found its way into the BMW E84 X1. The N47 comes as a 1995 cc unit, identical in capacity to the BMW M47TU/TU2 series.
Naturally aspirated straight-six engines from 325i/330i are replaced by BMW's new N20 turbocharged inline-four two liter engine already introduced in several other BMW models. Top of the range 335i has the same N55 engine as E90. Diesel powertrain is still two liter inline-four N47 engine which is optimized for the new car
就字面上的意思 自2007年以後
BMW 所有2.0L 柴油引擎都是同一顆 => N47
包括F30 So 一顆引擎 不同調教 就這樣
F30 就是三顆引擎 N47 N55 和新發表的N20
