Cyclist Armstrong injured in comeback race

(CNN) — American cyclist Lance Armstrong, the only man to win the Tour
de France seven times, fell during a race in Spain Monday and was taken to a
hospital by ambulance.

Armstrong was seen pointing to his collarbone, CNN’s Al Goodman reported
from northern Spain, the scene of the five-day race which began Monday.

An official with Armstrong’s team, Astana, said he did not know the
extent of the cyclist’s injuries.

Armstrong came out of retirement this year and was using the Spanish race
as a warm-up for the Tour de France.
