The Flex mini light from Azoo I had a chance to see and measure some attributes.
This light is great on a few areas= one it's made like an Apple product.
Solid machined aluminum. Get this into your hand, and it's a pleasure to use.
It's very well made.
Two= the spectrum is unlike all the other lights I've seen to date, they PAR radiographic curve is weighted to the red and yellow light, with a smaller blue spike, as it should be for optimal growth and red plant colors.
The CRI is still a nice white color.
The only negative that I saw was the light cannot be height adjusted without an external pole etc, you can buy or make one however. I suggested to Azoo to add an add on bar that would allow this for the present product line without having to redesign the product itself.
I would love to see a 24,36 and 48" version of this light.
They also measured growth rates of the submersed plants and the red pigments compared to other spectral curves that are more commonly used. They had roughly 200% more growth and 400% more pigment. This is what I'd predicted before I even saw the data based on other growth studies with spectral curves for light.
