Agroup of financial institutions has agreed to deposit $30 billion in First Republic Bank in what’s meant to be a sign of confidence in the banking system, the banks announced Thursday afternoon.
Bank of America, Wells Fargo, Citigroup and JPMorgan Chase will contribute about $5 billion apiece, while Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley will deposit around $2.5 billion, the banks said in a news release. Truist, PNC, U.S. Bancorp, State Street and Bank of New York Mellon will deposit about $1 billion each.

美國人很有創意。資本主義很不容易倒，因為真的不能倒，在倒之前什麼拯救措施都會被用上，疫情剛發生時，FED直接印鈔灑錢就是例子。所以那些高喊2023年會重蹈1929年美國大蕭條的大空頭（包括那位從2007年以來就預測美股會大崩盤的末日博士魯比尼），真的要多讀歷史書。
這種單純由擠兌造成的倒閉，完全是沒必要的。好好的銀行就這樣倒了，實在是存戶自找麻煩，沒事找事。
遇到擠兌，所有銀行都要倒。印象中，美國三不五時就有銀行會倒。像我當年在美國念書存錢的銀行，就已經倒了
