Well, you're right. Same in Toronto. A family friend of mine have moved to Canada for 30 plus years, and she doesn't speak English AT ALL. As someone mentioned above, for some reasons, a lot of Taiwanese speak Cantonese more fluently than English, that's ridiculous!

但是發生在年輕人的話
可以說 不要浪費錢跑到國外學廣東話

so what can i do to improve my english
i have no problem in reading ,understanding all the textbook and talking
in fact i got the employ of the month in subway
cause my customer service is very good
in fact
when i live in vancouver
i live with my parents
hang out with chinese friends
and there is so many chinese mall in richmond bc
i dated chinese girl watch chinese show on computer
so there is no way a person in that condition can have a good english
since we only use it when we at school
