Center Jamaal Magloire 重新加盟熱火

全明星球員 Center Magloire re-signs with Heat

Center Jamaal Magloire has re-signed with the Miami Heat for the coming season.

It'll be the third season Magloire spends with Miami, which wanted him back to bolster its depth inside. Magloire has averaged 7.7 points and 6.7 rebounds per game in his 10 NBA seasons with one All-Star appearance.

Magloire averaged 2.1 points and 3.4 rebounds, while shooting 50.4 percent from the field in 23 games as a reserve for Miami last season.

He becomes the 10th player to sign with Miami for 2010-11, including the fourth center.

Cho joins Blazers as new GM

Oklahoma City assistant general manager Rich Cho has been named the new GM of the Portland Trail Blazers.

Cho, 44, has been assistant for the Thunder for the past nine seasons. The northwest native joined the team as an intern when the franchise was based in Seattle.

"Everyone I spoke to about Rich commented not just on his qualifications but on who he is as a person," Blazers president Larry Miller said in a statement. "He is well known for his ability to connect genuinely with people. Rich will be a great fit for our organization and for Portland. He is an executive on the rise and we're thrilled to have him as a Trail Blazer."

Terms of the contract with Cho were not disclosed. The Blazers scheduled a news conference on Monday to discuss the appointment.

Bucks, Kings working on trade

The Milwaukee Bucks have signed guard Keyon Dooling and two people with knowledge of other talks told The Associated Press on Monday that the team is in trade discussions with the Sacramento Kings to obtain forward Jon Brockman.

Both people spoke on condition of anonymity because the trade talks had not been completed. The deal would send forward Darnell Jackson and a second-round pick to Sacramento as part of a sign-and-trade arrangement for Brockman, a power forward who started four games and appeared in 52 overall for the Kings last year as a rookie. He averaged 2.8 points and 4.1 rebounds in limited minutes.

Juwan Howard to Heat

Howard signs with Heat -- again

After 14 years, Pat Riley finally has Juwan Howard.

Howard joined the Miami Heat on Tuesday, signing a deal that won't raise the ire of NBA officials -- unlike his first agreement with Riley. In July 1996, Howard signed a $100 million, seven-year contract with Miami that was ultimately voided by the league because the Heat had gone over the salary cap.

After all this time, Riley thinks Howard will fit his team again. And for a veteran's minimum salary, the NBA won't complain either.
